I bought this Honda CB750 K1 last year and only put 200 miles on it since then so I decided to sell it. My pal Leroy bought it from me and now is having me restore it. I am hoping to be done in about 6 weeks and I am very curious to see how it turns out.

Looks like a solid bike to start off from, what is the plan?

I'll be restoring my K1 this year too.

Those single cam pre-K and K model 750's are a blast to ride when they are set up right. Great bikes. It even has the red garnets on both side cover emblems,, that is rare.

It was a nice survivor, I wouldn't have touched it but Leroy want's it "as new" and that's how it will be so I guess I will be learning Honda. His Honda collection is unreal, over 250 and one of every color of every year(including three sandcasts)in the Honda fours from the 350 to the 750, except a K1 in Valley Green Metallic which is what this one will be. I believe he also has the only known complete set of Honda Benly's from 1953 to 1959. Some of you should come here for short vacation so I can show you his collection, it is almost too much to comprehend. As far as the engine, it will get rings, valve seals, and valves. It runs like a top and very smooth but it just isn't a very exciting bike to me. It does everything well but let's face it I am a Kawasaki guy so it had a tough act to follow. :D
