This is not for a triple, but I want to make sure I am correct in my thinking.
My KE175 (that I bought yesterday) have a burned out headlamp. a 5-3/4" 6V 35/35W bulb is no longer available. But there is a 6V 35/35W halogen available. Since it is still 35/35W, I believe it will work and will not cause any issues. True?

I installed that very unit in my DT100 this summer and it has worked fine since then. Go for it.

The housing outside diameter was too small so I wrapped a cord around it to make up the difference.

I wonder if that headlight would work on a KH400 or an H1 with some cushioning to makeup for its slightly smaller size?

It's a 6v headlight, Mike, so no.

I have to defer to a "Sparky's" knowledge, but that looks a LOT like a H4 light-bulb, (didn't know they made a 6v H4 fitting) :? and maybe you could just fit a 12v H4 , and wonder if the KH400 electrics would run it?!?!

Rod, the ad says it's 6v, and John says he's using one on this DT100, so I have to assume it really is a 6v setup. I don't have firsthand experience with it, however.

It is a H4 for 6 volt systems.

It will work on 12 volts, just not very long :D unless you install a 12 volt H4 lamp.

I could still of bought a sealed beam 6 volt for the DT but they are very expensive. The DT electrical system doesn't have a voltage regulator and I didn't want risk burning out the expensive sealed beam if the system went out of balance. The luminair didn't fit the headlight bucket well but I made it work with the 1\4 inch cord spacer.
