I talked my friend Kyle(the guy that owns the garage I have my Z1 in)into buying this 1993 ZRX Z1 clone. Before it snowed I rode the crap out of it and it's one of the most fun bikes I have ever ridden. It is supposed to have a little over 100 horse to the ground and it feels like it. This spring when riding starts I will be flogging it more. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I think you're talking about a Zephyr. The ZRX came later and ZRX wheels are 3-spoke. |

I am not at all familiar with any motorcycles newer than about 1980 so I stand corrected. It says ZRX or ZXR on the seat. |

That's the same exact bike as what I have, a 1993 Kawasaki ZR1100 It was originally called a "Zephyr" but ford motor company got their "lacey panties in a wad" and the lawyers made Kawasaki drop the name in the US. It's a one year only in the USA but parts are still available. Here's a slide show of my pics http://smg.photobucket.com/user/JRD77VE ... how/ZR1100 The clutch repair was simple as a spring steel part broke and Kawasaki offers upgraded ( stronger ) parts. Jeff |

In Europe there was a 750 Zephyr with wire wheels, Z1 73 paint and a kit with four exhausts ![]() |

Some spoke wheels would look cool on that bike. |

I think it should have spokes too. I am going to take the engine out this winter and paint it black like a real Z1, I think that will look good. |
