After that post I went lookin for one of my favs, Peter Rowan and Tony Rice.
Found this one with a guitarist that was definatly as good as Tony if not better.

I have seen Rowan&Rice 5 times and Bromberg a couple dozen or more times.
I've heard him variations of this every time and it always is a riot to see.

John, your clip reminded me a bit of "New Grass Revival" but John Cowan and Bela Fleck would hate that comparison.
