1970 Honda CT70H which was the 4 speed hand clutch model. I put close to 6,000 miles on this bike over about a 3 yr period as a youngster on the dirt roads on S Ga (we had many). Was also called the Trail 70. Great bike!

1st was a Monkey Wards minibike, much like this one but no lights

Image

Then a "real" motorcycle, with shift and clutch! Wheee! :D

Image

Then I hit the street on the "son" of the infamous X-6 Hustler!

Image

Finally I joined the elite few who bought a Kawasaki Triple new off the showroom floor! :e11 It made my GT250 feel like it had a rubber band for a throttle cable! :e9

Image

All pics are close to what mine looked like, not my real bikes... Celebrity voices impersonated, batteries not included.

My first bike was a '76(?) KH100, got it back when I was about 10(around 1990). I'm currently in the process of trying to track it down to see if I can buy it back :)

The first bike I actually bought for myself was a '75 CB360T. I wasn't even in the market, but it was one of those right time, right place deals. 10K miles, beautiful condition, and I was only the second owner. Great bike for around town, and rode fine up to 55 MPH. At 56 MPH it started to vibrate, and by 60 MPH it would buzz your feet numb in 5 miles  Just for kicks one day, I threw it on the Dyno when I was working at the bike shop. 17 HP, and 22 Ft/LB of tire shredding torque

It would have been close!!!!!!!!!!!

I got "clocked" speeding (I think was about 47mph?) flat out in top gear flying down my friends block. I grew up in suburbia. Typical 30mph grid streets.
Cop was soooo pissed he took my bike, threw it in the trunk and drove me home, proceeded to chew my mom out, told me he could write me up for

1. speeding
2. wreckless driving/exibition
3. no insurance
4. no drivers license
5. no motorcycle endorsement
6. bike not registered or tagged
7. no lighting or horn on bike
probably a few other things.

In the end, he gave me a "warning". Mom basically says to me "dont get caught again"...

I jumped back on the bike and rode the rest of the day.... lol

I only said it Cody because my neighbour had a xr80...
I could eat him up in acceleration and top speed... Top end was about 55 mph as shown my my ole man's half ton.
Funny thing is, I got in more trouble with that bike than any other that I've owned.
I only stopped once for the cops for riding the roads... After that $hit storm, I always made a point to lose them instead of giving up... I was way out in the country though... Tough for a cruiser to do 55 on old washed out roads.
Only to be 12 again! 8-)
