My first street bike was and is a Yamaha DS7 and I am in the middle of reserecting it for my son's to ride. When I get pictures to post I will do a build thread on it. The biggest thing I need at this point is some pistons for it and am wondering if RD pistons will work ? I have decided not to do a compete resto on it. Too time consuming and $$$ consuming I want it to be a rider with some fond memories attached.

I just sold a nice DS7. They are cool bikes. I used to see NOS pistons for them on ebay fairly regular and not that expensive.

My first bike was a Garelli Scrambler 50 and no it did not have pedals on it like a moped. Then I fixed up a Ducati 50 and a MV Agusta 175 which was a POS and legally I wasn't supposed to be riding it. MY first new real street bike was a 72 S2 which I wished I still had. :(

Would have been about 1985? Saved up paper route money ($150.00) for an entire summer/fall. By the time I was able to buy the bike, the snow was here.. Didn't stop me. I rode that bike 12 months of the year, for about 3 years. It never failed to start and run.

aylor, that picture is awesome.

My first bike was a 1969 Z50 mini-trail, loved that bike. Worked 2 summers doing odd jobs and a paper route to come up with the $289.00
It's amazing what they go for now, mine was the red and silver one with lights too.
