There's a saying here "you can always tell the Colorado Native, they're the 5th one through the red".

Here in Northern Nevada, the NDOT state highway engineers all favor traffic circles, DEADLY stupidity.

There is one in Fernley, 50 miles from here, and is the cause of almost every traffic incident in the north part of the state, but, still, they keep insisting on building new ones.

We are about to get a bypass, so we can bypass the City of Fernley to get from the southern part of our county, to Sparks/Reno, and, of course, a traffic circle is planned for the junction of Hwy's 95A and 50. We all have contacted NDOT, and told them NO, but, their engineers are set on making the bypass as deadly as they possibly can.

I have driven through many, many traffic circles, both directional, all over the world, and, all it takes is ONE whacko that does a stupidity in one, to cause massive havoc, and worse.

I agree with those that have voiced that if drivers paid attention, knew and obeyed the rules, then, a lot less problems, accidents would be occurring.

Gotta love these...

Aliens did that - and they are still laughing. Every day they hover over the area and watch the mayhem develop. It never gets old for them......

the local council (UK)put two of these satellite roundabouts on a very busy stretch of dual carriageway (like a two lane freeway)between two intersections of major roads the caos was incredible for the first two weeks but it calmed down after that .
its strange that you can go either way round (shortest distance to your exit) .
the wreckers were camped out like buzzards waiting for the next victim.

P.K., yup, that's one of 'em, NO common sense at all. That one is shown from the top of it, how do all of you think it looks ON THE GROUND, as you are attempting to travel through it? Now, how about with 148 other people, all trying to do the exact same thing, along with you!

FUN!
