I bet at first you would be happy ... Then regret what you have done .. Sometimes, I have found that you get used to what you have ,and dont appreciate how nice it is. I know I have had some items over the years I would never consider letting go today if I still owned :banghead

I was thinking about the frame, seems if they could get bigger bucks for a door and some bodywork, they would do it. Makes it a bit iffy to me. And I have heard bad things about car fax recently, not as good as they say...... being sued.

keep the vet and the tripple ,
as you would losing 2 different types of fun and only getting one in return.
or bugger the savings and get/keep all three and after a year see which you use least and and bin it.
not very cautious i know but hey its only money eh.
ineresting problem to have though.

Well, I don't think it's going to happen. The deal gets more complicated by the day. The car has a bank lien on the title along with his name. Pretty standard on financed cars and no big deal, you just pay the bank and he gets the balance, you get a clean title. Except...the loan is in his ex-fiancee's name, and she's being less than cooperative. All the little pieces seem to paint a picture of a woman scorned. If I had to guess, here's what I think happened. They broke up, so she quit making payments and the loan is in default('cause there's no reason to keep paying for his car, except for ruining her credit). I think she wants to see the bank repo the car out of spite. It's not an unreasonable assumption, the guy owns a Viper so he's probably an asshole...

That's actually the reason I bought the Vette, it saves on some awkward conversations. People see the car and know right off the bat that I'm a dick without even having to talk to me

I was talking about the deal with a co-worker, and he made a great comment "Can you imagine telling 10 years ago you about your current problems in life? Gee, should I sell my corvette to buy a Viper?"

My stepfather gave me his 62 vette race car when he retired. I had to sell it when I was 22 - long story but I regret it to this day....
