Yeah me too, man how much fun did we all have with them - total blast every time.

Then a buddy and I shared a VERY used one of these:

My ZX-14 will sometimes light up the rear tire while going onto a freeway on ramp. At some point I guess it's about how fast YOU are. Someone on a much smaller, less powerful bike could easily pass me when I'm unable to use my 190 HP! That said, I can twist my triple wide open and slide a little on the seat, but shift in the power and suprise many current sportsbikes because I'm able to use my 75 horses. My Z1s are even MORE easy to go fast. Twist the throttle. Dump the clutch and it goes. A little wheel spin and straight forward with no fears of the unknown. Power is GREAT, but as for me, there's only so much that I can use.

Im gonna repeat what everyone else is saying, had a honda 600F3 and it was the perfect bike, comfortable, good power, good handling, nice brakes, worked every time all the time.. but boring as hell. only time i had fun on it was from 6-7k too 11-12k but then i was already breaking the speedlimit sometimes several times over. Aquired another triple and rode around laughing my ass off and had a blast!

Same here! I have to wear a full face helmet because if anyone could see my face they would report me to the authorities as an escaped mental patient!

This is what I imagine what's under your lid Z...

I guess we all enjoy the rough and ready triple feel... Plus maybe the challenge of getting them to work top notch and maintained that way.
I don't own a modern bike so my triple is my daily rider... One day I'll own a 14 Connie for long touring trips but I doubt it will be used as much as the old 2 stroke for the casual riding I do for the most part now.
