I had an '88LX and then a '92LX (dark green). The '92 had extrude honed Cobra intake, Motorsports throttle body, big MAF, roller rockers E-303 cam, GT-40 aluminum heads, MAC equal length headers into 2 chamber Flowmasters, full Steeda suspension, 3.73 gears...etc.

That was a fun car...like jiggy said; it handled like a go-cart. Fast too, I didn't lose many races including a very stupid high speed encounter with a BMW M-5 :oops: :oops:

I loved spanking rich guys in expensive cars!! :twisted:

Z, I suppose your WRX would blow the old 5L off the road eh?

I hated the '78 Cobra except for one reason....... anyone?? 8-)

Walms, my LX was a mid 12 second car and it might have been quicker except the stiff suspension induced some wicked wheel spin. My WRX would beat my stock (apart from intakes) '97 Cobra (mostly because the AWD grip is insane).

I really liked the "pony" Mustangs, they looked stocky, and tough, to me. Then I think, it was Gap and Roush that dropped in a maxed 460 in a street car that was sooooo awesome! And Monroe did a cool body kit also......

The only thing really different was the big cobra decal on the hood, or is it the blue stripes on white?
