Okay....learned to adjusts all the settings. Put it on 1080-30. Nice video.

In order to update the firmware on the HERO 2 GoPro requires you to download the free CineForm Studio software.
The camera seems to be working fine.
I hate downloading extraneous software.

Anyone have experience with CineForm Studio ?
Would it be good to have for post-production touch ups on the videos I make ?

Barry....here's my kitchen with both ends of the counter in view full of GoPro parphernalia !!!

Thats why i said i didn't like downloading extraneous software.
I already have win movie maker....it's good an easy to use.

i was really asking about CineForm; since GoPro apparently requires me to have it in order to keep my HERO 2 updated. anyone know of another way to update the HERO 2 ?

I dislike the CineForm, it's poorly written and I consider it a parasite-like software because it auto-starts with Windows and not setting to disable that. Your norton might kill it on start-up but I dislike software that does not allow you to turn it off...

Having said that - I still have it (disabled in Norton from Starting) but the folder is still there with all the program stuff - including updates - which I check once in a while. I just checked their website and you need CineForm - so they say - to upgrade the firmware.

Moo is right about editing, the CineForm is not as good as Windows MovieMaker (which should be part of your windows OS). Any editing of videos - especially long ones - require a strong PC. This is from the GoPro web site - specifically about their editor - but I notice this on my various PC's using moviemaker - the bigger the PC the better"

* for editing features such as making timelapse videos from photos, image enhancement, & color correction, a Quad Core Processor (Mac) or Intel i7-860 Processor (Windows), 4GB RAM, & 1920×1080 screen resolution are recommended.

Why was wind nosy an issue on your unit Barry? My GP really filters out the wind well at all mounting positions I've tried.

Ric did you find your long knob? Look at the pictures of the GP you posted in your other post about buying the GP and you'll see the correct knob that works with the case.

I haven't done the update yet. I'll have to go to the gopro website and see what the update does.
