I live in orange as you can see and have friends with garages FULL of grey market bikes and registration woes is a legitimate fear! I just registered an out of state Suzuki GS four stroke and the AAA lady was Breaking balls about no CARB sticker! I have heard in san fransisco they run sting operations at bike shows just to catch bikes like this. But I see no shortage of people lining up and paying a premium for these. If the price is right I would buy it! Plates or not it's a rare piece.

My wife and I drove to Orange county this morning to check out the RGV250. Owned by a 64 year old guy that is a x road racer, decent , honest guy.
Bike looked great from 10ft. but close up it showed it's age. Had some oxidation here and there, all the plastic looked ok. Needs a paint job and
general clean up and maintenance. Bike started on the first kick and motor seems good and strong. Owner said there is about 5k miles on the completely
rebuilt motor and shows. We have 2 bikes close to this 91, my wife's 89FZR400 and my 90. Both are in way better condition and we expected and hoped this RGV would be about in the same cosmetic condition. We had the cash with us but had decided before we saw the bike that only if I
liked it better than my H2 and she liked it better than her FZR we would buy it. Price is a little to high for the condition but these bikes are hard to find
with a Ca title. A RGV250 is a bike my wife and I both could ride and we want to get down to just 2 bikes in the garage.

I'm pretty fussy with my bikes and would have to take it to the bare frame and detail, polish and paint to make it really nice. Going to think about it for
a few days and then decide.
