Be careful with the CV diaphragms. If they get carb cleaner on them, they'll distort and not go back on correctly.

I can get the zook in my name and registered for 600 bucks. Gotta love California registration back fees. If it runs sweet and only cost me tires, battery, and carb cleaner it could still be under a grand. Guess well see if I fall in love.

It is awsome, I have a couple of track championships and runner up at the local track in the early and mid 90.s. I will be passing the torch to my sons, 15 year old twins soon. They have been down the track many times on pit bikes and dirt bikes. They have both done well in dirt drags. I have the gs going and am putting together a 75 Z1b for them to ride. Cant wait to have them going hopefully in the spring !

I raced my bone stock and brand new at the time 81 GS750 Seattle International Raceway best time was either a low 13 or high 12 can't remember but I still have the time slips somewhere...

The original motor was absolutely stock but did have a welded crank. That motor met its demise 2 years ago when I let a young fella ride it. The quickest pass I made with the bike was a 6.72 @ 104 and a 10.73 @ 118. That was with a drag slick. It will be much slower tomorrow with what I assume is a very stock motor. It will be good to race instead of just doing time runs. Its been a while. The last time run I made in August I ran a ZX14 and had him for 650 feet of an eighth mile, but he caught me in the last ten feet. I think I went 7.44 spinning off the line. Fun stuff

I've never busted into the sixes at the local eighth, Lord knows I've tried....

Good stuff, and that is my favorite style for the GS1100E - They went a little over the top with the styling on the 1150E but that motor would bolt right into the eleven....

Sometimes I take a old CB750 out, been a few years....

Had a "grunge" match one year with a 75 RD350

Good times....

Great pics, Ill have to post some of tomorrow afterwards and by the way I did have another gs 1100 with a big block, punched out to 1425 with 40 mm lectrons on it with a 7 inch slick. That bike ran some 5.70's. The h2 I had ran 5.80-5.90. The previous owner rider went a best of 5.68 with the h2. I was about 20lbs heavier then he and now I am about 40 lbs heavier than I was then. Thats why I need a big 4 stroker to pull me off the line !
