I like my 1100 fine. I never "race" head to head, but I don't have any trouble keeping up with the 1200's, usually with my wife on the back. :) The 1100 will, in three seconds, exceed any national speed limit. :D Buy the nicest one that comes along would be my suggestion. You will love either.

I have this 1100: Ivan's jet kit. Muzzy/Kerker pipe 112 hp @ the Harley Boutique. Usually over 40 mpg, the best looking ZRX year and paint. Strong as a stock 1200 (my son has one) but the same mods to a 1200 and they are noticeably stronger, but with 112 hp and the great looks, I am fine with mine.

Green or even red is GPZish. I don't like the silver or blue one bit.

I assume that there must be major engine differences between the two as the extra 100cc displacement is less than 10% of engine size and wouldm't account for that much horsepower gains all things being equal.
Didn't see this mentioned on the ZRX board but have only spent 15-20 minutes reading there.

PS - I like the blue and black ones best!

Great bikes for sure! I bought my '04 new and have 24,000 trouble free miles. No issues whatsoever, only has needed tires, brake pads, etc. Color is a such a personal preference and I chose  subtle galaxy silver over :shh: in your face green. Mine's stock as it has more power than I could ever use on the street. I would not hesitate to ride it anywhere turn key. ;)

And riding your bike 2 years ago is going to make me buy one unless I can steal the KZ650 that's for sale in my hood.

I found a 1100 for 3600 with 4200 miles. I offered the 3600 dollars weeks ago and he said no, to hold out for more, now he's calling me back. Does that mean I was too high? I need to post a pic, Maybe you guys can help me decide.

Eddie Lawson edition, maybe a 99? Can't remember, I think the blue book was 2600 dollars in excellent condition.
