Mine is, he was a drub addicted, yelling and screaming no talent.

I definitely agree. A person playing more than 20 instruments like a pro, and only selling about 100 million records, can't have any talent.

Why?

Because I SAY SO.

I wasn't a huge fan but you have to admit the man had talent. Check out his guitar solo during the George Harrison tribute. He also had integrity and pretty darn good sense of humor.
RIP Prince.

I was a big Amy Winehouse fan, lots of dis-approvers out there, but Music is virtually free and so accessible, it seems to close many minds tho. In a musical sense Bowie was a genius but would alienate (pun) so many. If you don't like something don't hate it, just flick the switch. Music is serious for me, like a full throttle run on a H2 concentrates the mind, so does music. I listen to Neil Young, Van Morrison, Duane Allman, Amy, Chrissie Hynde.... (so many others, started something I can't stop!) :D

I hate bumping an old thread, but everytime I see anything about some filthy rich celebrity dying from an overdose I start to fault them, then think. What the hell would you do in their shoes? You have all the money in the world, any car you want, houses that anyone would be jealous of, the finest women, and you don't think that crap gets old after 20-30 years? Life has got to lose all of its new-ness glamour and shine. You are going to want bigger and better, and yet you have all the BEST. I can see turning to whatever you can for a little more rush, if not out of want then from pure boredom.

My father in law HATED prince's 'sift ass music' but agreed he was a genius, many people I know who hate that genre of music agreed (well before his death) that the man was the best guitarist out there, eric clapton and several other famous people did as well
