The Yanks made the Corsair, but it took the Brits to teach 'em how to land it on an aircraft carrier!

The Yanks were coming in straight, couldn't see the deck due to the long nose, and they'd crash. The Brits came in at a sweeping angle, sighting the deck though the side of the canopy, and at the last second they'd plonk it down.

Clever pommies, shame they whinge so much...
