Hi,

does anybody know where I could find some parts for Meguro / Kawasaki SG 250. I have two neary complete bikes and one wreck.
I couldn't find the production numbers in books or mags. I have the Meguro number before they turned to Kawasaki. But the SG models are missing. It would be fine if anybody could tell me the frame numbers to the years and I don't know also from what year on they have the Kawasaki Badges on the fuel tank. I know RB and Malcom from UK should have also such a bike,

Many thanks for any help,
Ralf

Hi Ralf,
the information I have shows the Kawasaki SG250 as starting
Frame SG-0001
engine SGE-0001
and says they were produced from 1964 to 1969?

here are some sites but the translation from japanese to english is somtimes not so good.

http://www.d6.dion.ne.jp/~kiyoto/baiku/meguro.htm

http://www.theworldofmotorcycles.com/vi ... eguro.html
(More site links on this one)

http://www.takashima-design.com/250SG-1.html

My own bikes frame number SG -07461
Engine number SGE-07820
There was a bike (meguro) parted out on ebay in the USA last christmas?
The bike was originally bought by someone at college as there first bike and crashed !
it was unused until sold to the breaker/salvage yard last christmas!
I bought the fuel tank off it which still had the Meguro badges on it and asked about the speedometer?
They sent me pictures of it and the speedo had "kawasaki" wrote in it as and the engine side casings also had the kawasaki badge?
Most of the parts were buy it now and nothing was cheap ,the tank costing $300 but lots of it did sell?
Hope some of this helps you
Malc

Hey guys.
I know this a a 2-stroke forum (however I have owned Kawasaki 2-strokes, and really like them) but this is the only place I have found anything in English about the Kawasaki SG 250.
I am in Kansas City, MO USA and have just acquired one. It was brought here by a Serviceman returning from Guam in 1966-67 and has been in a barn since 1967. It is complete, and runs, however it does show it's age. I want to restore it, but there are not any parts, or information available for it in the US. I would like to find a service manual, headlight trim ring, and handlebar controls. If anyone would have any information on where to find these items, or even any information in English on these bikes I would greatly appreciate it.
