Notice the spurt of something out the left side (Oil?).

I had a buddy riding his new Interceptor - on my left on the freeway.

He was wearing new white leather racing gear. I was on a CB350 WFO when the left head blew - BAM - whole cam side of the head shot out on the left totally soaking his bike and him (and new white leathers) in dirty, black, much used oil.

Ahh the good ole days

O.K. I watched it 20 times and still can't work out how that totally separate "wet patch" appeared under the front tyre

It's probably oil blowing through an opening in the fairing.

I wonder if he didn't help it along a bit by keeping the throttle pinned wide open until it popped

Watch how low his right elbow is when it blows - he couldn't possibly have stretched the throttle cable (as if it had one) any more!

 It's like pressing the keys on the remote HARDER when the battery is going flat! (or the trigger on an battery drill, same!)
