Evans, That reminded me of 5 years ago at the Tapoco. Nice guy from California came to the gap with no bike and wanted to rent my sweet "Olive Oil".......for a few days riding but found that KLR place and we rode around with him. That thing drove me nuts listening to that "noise", behind me. Blaaaaap, blaaaaaaaaaaaap, blap. He loved it. These guys have talked me out of it already Evans.

Ric the beamer would be perfect, iI sure it's pricey too. I was looking at some of the older 1150gs models thankin.

The agent thanks all who give a shiiit about my choices........

That was John Kirkland who went by squish on the old board. I remember meeting him that yr he attended. At that time, I too was entertaining a KLR purchase. John offered to let me ride the rented KLR but I declined due to it being a rental bike. You should make an inclusive list of all the bikes you've owned Bill as it might cover most all of them! :eh: :D

Yes, nice guy. I was glad he found the KLR and had a good time. Just not right to come all that way and not be able to ride a bike on the twisties. The almighty is good to those who seek to ride his chosen roads.
Another plus for the Bavarian bike. 700 watt alternators. Two heated suits extend my ride season.

FWIW, this months cycle world has an adventure bike compare in it. KLR is one of the bikes.
