Yeah, I enjoyed giving some of my friends a ride.
It's hard to impress Evans, he has a turbo buick.

I was well impressed Shane with your car's performance and handling. Riding in it was a sensory experience! Your car is alittle quicker than my alcohol injected boosted hair dryer Buick. :shifty: You have to experience a ride in the Turbo Buick too as I know you'd want one after experiencing it. :eh:

Gorgeous! The only thing I love better C1 Corvettes and Nomads are C1 Corvettes that are Nomads.

A bit pricey tho, but all that custom glass & chrome trim has got to cost something.

Since you have built cars, I'm sure you

No kidding. I'm afraid I've become somewhat of a kit car snob over the years  When I stared working at www.regalroadsters.com, I didn't really understand everyone aversion to kits. Our T-birds seemed like high quality cars...then I saw someone else's kit...wow. The quality was atrocious, saw a few others and was not impressed. I started paying very close attention to how well panels fit on cars. Panel fit is often a good indicator of the quality of a kit. Price doesn't mean quality and even a lot of magazine feature kits have horrible panel fitment. Our T-birds start at $70K for a turn key, all our panels fit and have near perfect panel gaps. take a close look at this Nomad here, body kits are $60K, turn keys are $195K. The left side of the tailgate doesn't fit worth a darn. You can see in the reflection that the pass side door doesn't fit very well either. You'd think for what the kit costs, they wouldn't have issues like that.

Ok, rant over, now back to our regularly scheduled thread

We did drive train installs for http://www.superformance.com/ at the Ferrari shop I use to work at. I've seen lots of kits but these where really well built.
They come as complete rollers and you buy them and have someone else install the drive train. that's how they get around the DMV and use special construction
vin numbers. The Cobra was a great car but I really liked the Daytona the best. A/C, roll up windows and that cool long hood and short tail. Most of the cars
got Roush small blocks but we did a few with Big Block 427 side oilers and dual quads. Lance Stander took me for a ride in his GT40 and I have never been in a car the
accelerated that fast :D I've driven all the latest Ferrari's but that GT40 got my attention in a hurry.
