Haha, the company I work for is the North American affiliate for Bost machine tools...
As strange as it sounds, I'm currently working on a steady rest design for one of those beasts! :)

Kind of like watching a mechanical sculptor. The one thing that struck me strange, was from what I have seen in the car industry, The crank was offset and indexed the amount of the stroke, in the lathe. And the crank journals were then machined, as it would be on the centerline of the lathe. Maybe it really IS a size thing...lol
