I have a few questions about "big Suzie", my new daily. Will tires alone get rid of the tracking feeling on ca's concrete freeways? Which tires should I buy? The whole "following the grooves in the road" is troubling. Gsxr fork and wheel mods are a plenty but I'm not into the clip ons. Is the pipe, air cleaners, jet or 36mm carbs, and exhaust a huge improvement? These are a large investment. All in all a nice bike except the tracking. Its fast stock but as heavy as it is I bet it can handle a whole lot more hp and be safe to ride. Thanks. I'm on the GS board but all my friends are here

Tires just track with the grooves, the older ribbed tires were awful. What tires do you have now? BT 45's should work great. Some guys freak a bit with the wandering, and tense up, just making things worse. A loose grip on the bars let the front wander, it's not going to go crazy on you. The spinning wheels keep the bike upright.
Pipes are worth a few ponies, and less weight, bigger carbs are a lot of money for little increase, as you have to have hotter cams to take advantage of the bigger carbs with more rpm capability.
