Buddy,

Based on our conversation at Barber's at Gordon's tent a couple of weeks ago, you know what my next bike would be. Come on..... you know you need a boost fix! ;)

Evans is right, get the turbo. That way all I have left to do is talk you into letting me ride it at DG next spring.

Hmmm turbo vs. non-turbo
Stupid fast vs. a decent ride
Possible huge maintenance vs. normal maintenance

Seems like Buddy has been selling the faster bikes and keeping the less temperamental riders; is that some form of maturity that I keep hearing about?

Motohorseman, Thanks for all the great photo ads.
I did get to ride a 1984 550 this weekend.all original except for a 4 into 1. Ran great and handled very well.It had an extra piece of fairing on it that looked liked it funneled more air towards the engine. He only gave 1300 for it. Seems like a great deal.I'm just not digging the extra plastic and the more swoopy look although I'd probably buy his if he ever sells it.I'm going to keep looking for the 81 model or the 82 750 as it looks almost identical. The turbo version is still an option if I ever run across a good clean one. Not sure the turbo would be much use at the gap as there aren't that many straight roads to fully explore and explode it's potantial. Rest assured, if I ever get one, all are welcome to ride it.
Jim C. while it's true that I'm going to slower bikes, the GPZ is a lot faster than tha GB500 I just sold.I loved that bike but it was very slow even by my standards. I appreciate all the replys and opinions fellas.

I have a good friend who has an '83 GPZ750 (Twin shock) with about a squillion miles on it. It is surprisingly 'capable' when we go away for our annual ride! He doesn't like my ZX10R, (no bottom end grunt), so I don't like his GPZ, 'cos the tires are too skinny......!
