Came across this the other day, BSL 500 V3 Two Stroke. Wayne "Wobbly" Wright of TSS fame had his hand in on this one. The switch to four stroke in GP racing killed it dead.

Any Aussies/Kiwi's have any inside stories on it?

Nice to see something different in their V3. I wonder what the advantages/disadvantages are with an engine configuration like that? More forward weight bias?

Apparently one was still being raced in New Zealand until fairly recently. Was designed and built by a company in New Zealand, Buckley Systems Limited- they were active in the internet if I remember correctly, headed by a Bill Buckley. The project ended around the time the internet bubble burst so presumably the money ran out- more's the pity.
There used to be a website with quite a few pics, not sure if it is still around though; would have to check. The design was similar to that of the KR3, though obviously there were detail differences.
