Some of you may know my friend Doug Wothke. (we share vendor spots at the Barbers VMF and some other swap meets) He is participating in the 2012 Cannonball ride (A cross-country rally for pre 1930 motorcycles).
He is riding his 1928 Indian 101 in the event... If you are into vintage motorcycles you probably know about the rivalry between Indian and Harley-Davidson..... The overnight stop on Sunday night was in Milwaukee... Before leaving the next morning This picture was taken and posed to his blog on the adventure rider website (
http://www.advrider.com)

He won't win the event, but Doug is unlike many of the contestants who are doing the run. Most of the "Teams" have a chase truck and support crew... Doug does not.... In fact, he rode the Indiana from Alabama to the starting line in Newburg NY and plans to ride it home from Califorinia after the event... a total of about 8000 miles (The route of the Cannonball is about 3800 miles)
