Gotta love Craigslist!

I wanted to call the owner and ask how old the powerband was, or what the durometer reading on it was, or how it it would cost to replace, but, well, na....

As a connoisseur of Craiglist, I have come to treasure such descriptions. The picture also gives us a glimpse into the seller's world.

I called about a bike once and I told the guy that his fresh paint job didn't look like it had any gloss in it from his photo. He said he didn't know but he would ask his friend who painted if he used any gloss. It was flat black and looked like complete crap.

That's funny   My dad ran a neighborhood garage for many years -- one day a lady phoned up and asked if they could fix a flat tire (right away as they had to go somewhere rather urgently). He said he was certain they could repair it, but asked her if the tire was flat on the bottom or top. She put the phone down and went to look. After a few minutes she came back and said she wasn't 100% sure ..... and then asked her husband.. :D
