A friend of mine is looking to buy his second bike(he's been riding an '84 650 Nighthawk for a year or so). He wants to step up to a "cruiser" style bike. He found a 2005(?) Kawasaki Vulcan 900 for a decent price, and likes the style. While I'm well versed in Harleys, I know practically zero about modern Japanese cruisers. I noticed in the specs that it's a 600 LB bike, a big step up in weight for him. Anybody have any first hand experience with these bikes? Any known weaknesses? How do they handle? Would you recommend it as a good second bike? Thanks for the info.
