I HATE wearing backpacks when I ride and on the last two rides alone Ive put 400 miles on this bike. Tools, water, rags, spark plugs, extra clothing all nicely bungied to this shiny chrome appendage. :thumbup:

Its the same crap I heard when I put a rack on my ZRX and XR650R. "Man, that looks stupid, but do you mind carrying ________ for me?"

my reply?

"screw you.... get your own rack"

No, its one of those "old school" aftermarket racks that used to pop up on ebay from time to time. Probably from the mid-70's.

and I actually think it looks just fine myself. Its not overly big and has that "ducktail" thing going on.

My H2 had a luggage rack when I got it. About 10 minutes later, I figured out my L.L. Bean backpack fit on the seat behind me, with the straps looped around the turn signal stalks. L.L. Bean backpacks last a long time. The one you saw at Deal's Gap is the very same one.

I have nothing against Cody's rack. I didn't see any turn signal stalks on his H1.
