maxima chain wax. spray on, let sit, wipe off excess. got 33k out of the chain on my old SV650 using this stuff.

13.5 oz. can ordered, thanks for the tip. I've waxed my mountain bike chain with a torch and a candle for years, but that's not so easy on a motorcycle.

true, its good for clutch cable lubrication and front brake (if you rock a drum on your bike like a real man  ). also have used it for door hinges in the car and hoot pivots, door hinges in the house, etc.

also works for hair gel in a pinch

use it on o-ring chains and stds also.

not a chain expert here, but I've had the opinion for some time that a chain with seals works both ways. at first its nice as a low maintenance option, but the seals that keep dirt out eventually begin to function as seals that don't allow any new lube to get in. Just my 2cents

That's intentional. They're lubed when new, and it's not expected that any new lube will be able to get in the joints. Lubing a sealed chain is to keep the rollers lubed.

I grease my chains with front axle grease. Sticks on good. I have an X ring RK chain on the S3 that has at least 17k miles on it and it's only been adjusted twice.
