So whats the chances this Tracy would work on an H1 late model???? Attachment: tracywhite2.jpg Attachment: tracywhite.jpg And this should have been the preface to my question, but here it is... I know that almost any body could be made to fit and that this particular one does not have the side flaps like most used on triples. (side cover area) More curious as to if anyone had used this style and what was entailed. TIA |

I think the only way to tell Steve, short of someone here who has experience with that specific body, is to be able to actually place over an H1 frame BEFORE you buy it. Short of that, it's possible it might take more work to get it to work than is worth the trouble, as opposed to finding one that's made for the H1 from the start. Yes, they're somewhat scarce, but I'd hate to see you spend a lot more in time and money trying to get this one to work, when you know it's made for something other than a Kawasaki. But you never know, maybe it won't be so tough after all...? ![]() |

Is there any pictures of the tunnel of the tank section? That is on e of the big problem areas of the h1 and getting a different tank to fit. My next question would be to get ask for an overall length and some point to point measurements to see if it is close to an h1 size. |

"it is for a british style center mount tank and has two petcock outlets, one on each side at the rear. it is 48" long from front to tail. tank is 19" long, 9" wide, and tunnel is 2" wide seat is 23" long, and 9 1/2" wide. it is 9 1/2" at the widest part under the seat. four mounting holes under the seat. looks like it takes a standard british bsa style tail light" Attachment: $_57.jpg

You will need to do some fiberglass work to get the tank section to fit. The 2 outer tubes that sweep down on the h1 frame do not look like they are going to clear that tunnel. The 9" wide sounds like it may be a bit skinny for the h1 frame, I don't know how much fuel capacity you would have left by the time you made the cutouts for the frame rails, and that is if there is enough room to make them. As far as the rest of the measurements, I would need to go out and measure my frame to see where it would line up at. If you don't have a bike readily available to measure, let me know and I can measures mine and let you know what I think. |
