Finally finished my WTF kit, thanks Walms! I think it only took me around two years. I've been busy with lots of other things but hopefully within the next month the H2 will be back on the road again after its second mini restoration.

I've also finished porting my cylinder for Moo's reads and am waiting on the machinist at work to cut my cylinder heads. Once that is done the engine can go back together.

Here are some pics of how the pipes turned out. I used Cerakote glacier black C-7600 ceramic coating. It is supposed to be good to over 2000 degrees F and is an air cure coating. I used a cheap spray gun from Harbor Freight and had no problems applying the coating. It must be applied very thin so an inexperienced painter may have some trouble but once you get the gun dialed its not too bad. Recommended surface prep is sand blasting. I have not ran the pipes yet but I'm expecting no issues with durability of the coating.

I bought way too much of the coating (32oz) and have a lot left. I was expecting to use a lot more with overspray. I probably have around 24 oz left and of that I'd be happy to sell someone or multiple folks 20oz as I do not have enough projects to use it all up. The claimed shelf life is 90 days and I bought this stuff about a month ago so there is roughly 60 days left on it. If anyone is interested please pm me and give me your best offer as I'd prefer it doesn't all go to waste. Depending on your setup I think you could easily do a set with 8-10oz of the coating.

The sheen of the coating is just right in my opinion and the photos do it justice. It is a nice satin finish and definitely isn't too glossy. The hardwood floor in the pictures is definitely a much glossier finish in comparison.

I hope others find this info useful for their projects.

Thanks,
Paul

Wow Paul, I really like what you did with the hangers and utilizing the stinger tubes for the baffles. Beautiful welds too! 8-)

Great work. Walm's cone kits are champions! You will love the way they perform along with Moo's reeds.
