Jim -- are you still making or have any adapter plates for mounting the ex caliper on the H2?

Hey Jay... yes, I have a bag full of laser cut blanks, and make them into adapters as needed.

Jim, you have dual EX's on your H2, don't you?
Do you have a pic?
And... what thickness should the rotor(s) be?

Shane, I currently have dual stock rotors and calipers. I'm going to change to a single stock disk and EX caliper shortly. I don't know of any reason to thin the disk unless you just like thin disks. Some guys have found that EBC HH pads on an EX caliper are thick enough to not fit on a stock disk. If that happens to me, I'll probably thin the pads just enough to fit, as I'm not in a hurry to machine my disk.

i like 5.5mm for a single disc, and 5.0 for duals.

This is a timely thread,
I was just sorting my '72 H2's wheels and trying to decide whether to go with dual or single disc.
I have an 18 inch front wheel and one drilled rotor, EX caliper.
Was thinking that the rotor had to be thinned to work with the EX setup.

What is the caliper and disk setup for modified dual H2 front brakes, not using the stock calipers? I thought the EX caliper is a single side one only, with little leading pistons.

Some of the Kaw EXs have dual disks, so you can find L and R calipers on eBay (etc.). So you can do dual if you want to, but it's pretty much unnecessary in my experience. I rode Ja-Moo's H1/H2 with a single EX, and after my dual stock setup, I had to use one finger to keep from locking the front wheel when braking for curves. I tried two fingers and skidded the wheel, hence one finger.
