Look what I saw as I came around a corner a couple of blocks from my house. The guy says it is a daily rider for him around town.

Guess you don't need license plates for daily drivers in Minnesota? If it is a rider - good for them - I kinda have a good respect for beater bikes that are ridden - no problem here.

Actually it is in Wisconsin. The guy has a repair shop and I think he uses one plate (dealer plate) for many units.

I'm with you guys. One of my favorite bikes was a WWII-era Harley 45 WL that a fellow U of MD student rode to school every day. It was dirty and grungy, with baked-on brown oil stains all over the engine and about everything else, and it was good, reliable transportation.

I agree with you all as well. It's mostly complete and original, it's got oil, and it ridden. That's a world better than having it sit rusting away or providing a nest for mice. You may want to keep in touch with the guy though, in case he ever decides to part with it, it would be a running restoration project for you!
