Fun reading Darrin, thanks, but it's funny when the writer doesn't understand what he's writing about: "There he started manufacturing expansion chambers for the 500 triples with pyramids inside the collector, which added 3-5mph and shaved a ½ second off the quarter mile times." The pyramids were part of the collectors of 4-stroke headers he made.

Crazy! The only thing remotely resembling a "pyramid" is perhaps the forward funnel end of the baffle. Still, nice pictures... :mrgreen:

This didn't make any sense (pyramids), but the read and photos are awesome. Thanks for posting!

As I said, the pyramid was part of the collector for a 4-into-1 4-stroke header system. He made the pyramid to smooth the flow where the four tubes opened into one tube. The article's author obviously didn't understand what was going on and thought the pyramid was part of a 2-stroke system.

I thought pyramids were for making gold, or as a power converter for space ships. At least that is what History channel 2 says....... ;)
