A couple of you may know me from the UK boards, hello to those who don't. Professionally I'm a naval architect but on the way I've been: Paper boy Barman Mechanical Engineer Machinist Welder Builder/labourer Joiner Tennis court builder Roofer Tree surgeon Yacht surveyor and probably a few others I've forgotten. I tend to work intermittently, preferring to tinker with my own projects but if I'm honest I seem to spend most of my time getting balls out of trees, getting ladies' hair out of vacuum cleaners, shouting at the dog, building tree houses, swings and dens, playing pirates, giving my opinion on ladies' outfits (that all look the same to me anyway), cutting the grass, mending the lawnmower, mending the house and moping about where all the years have gone. |

 Tell us about your bike(s). I had a new H2 in '72 - and bits of that are going into my (very) long term re-build.

I was 7 years old in '72. Currently I have nothing particularly pretty or exotic. KH250 B2 rat for daily fun  KH250 B4 rat for pushing home  KH400 A4 rat more fun H1/FZR Hybrid project for frustration  Mental 350YPVS/NC30/RGV hybrid for a fix  Beta 270 for pain.  2 stroke 'Harley' SS250 x 3 for some weird reason.  '87 GPZ600R for when all the 2 strokes are sulking.  and a pile of rusty old British mopeds.  Naval architecture in the UK is generally niche/innovation/consultancy. The small craft sector burbles away on its own with vibrant little pockets here and there. We train a lot of overseas naval architects. Those that can, do; those that can't....

Well, starting in high school to present. In order... here we go: Sears- warehouse worker, p/t in H.S. then full-time Woolco/Woolworths - warehouse worker Pittsburgh Paints - tech. rep/sales Ford dealer - sales General Contracting - various companies (too many to list) for 12 years Painting Contractor - self employed Bible College - age 38, back to school, B.A. in Sports Ministry Hockey Ministries Int'l - full time for 2.5 years, volunteer since 2005 to present Small business owner - vehicle emission test facility 2005 to present Pastor - 1 of 5 full-time pastors at my church, from 2013 to present So, at the present time, I own a small business (6 employees) and I'm a full-time pastor.

I am a master technician that has worked for Porsche Audi Volkswagen . I was shop foreman for over 25 years . I now work for Tesla Motors It's an amazing job ! We are accelerating the worlds tradition to electric vehicles ! I work at the Factory directly across the freeway from where Fremont Drag strip was years ago and a few blocks from where Denco was . |
