Hi, just wanted to say thank you all for spending time posting and compiling all the info on this site. I inherited a h2 project about a year ago from my cousin who started it in 1999 and never finished it. When he passed away it was given to me because of our close friendship and mutual passion for motorcycles. I have started unpacking and assembling it. The parts have been in storage since 1999 it been a interesting project so far and without this site it would have been very difficult. With what I have in parts and what I need, combined with finances, it may take a while to complete!
I'll try to post a couple pics, it was his vision for the bike I may have gone a different route, but I plan on keeping it the way he had it, sentimental I guess, anyway thanks.

I updated my profile so it now shows my location. I thought about listing my occupation but I saw Ja-Moos signature line and thought better of it.
I got the bike last january thought about starting it but soon realized I needed info, so I spent the allot of time reading over the material here. I have a Suzuki Gs 1150 that I have owned for 25 years that I spent allot of time working on so I figure I can do it but the triple is a bit more work than I have attempted before. The bikes I have had are not nearly as nice as the ones I see posted here I just dont have that touch, Im always impressed with the posts here.
I have the bottom end together and placed in the frame. I put the cylinders and heads on but the pistons are not in yet, I'm debating reeds and will need to save a little $$ to get them I also have no carbs. I plan on temp mounting the exhaust and any other parts I have, I need to see what I have and what I need there were/are allot of boxes and unfortunately the parts are somewhat mixed with parts from the other bikes he owned. The family figured parts were parts when they packed it up.

Good to see you here, demus. Don't worry about Ja-Moo's signature file, there are plenty of carpenters on the site. If your porting is stock, you might want to get it running without reeds to get a baseline, and go from there if you want more performance. If the cylinders are heavily ported, the reeds could be more important. A stock H2 has a good deal of low end torque. Very sorry about your cousin. I lost one that was like a brother to me in '07, but he didn't leave me any motorcycles. He had sold his '57 Triumph Tiger basket case project long before.

Welcome Demus.......you're luckier than you think....you're only 700 miles from Deals Gap where we're having our 14th annual Deals Gap meet this April 28 through May 5. You really ought to get down there. It's a great event with nothing but us 2-stroke wrenchers.

You could rent a room at Fontana Village or you could camp out at HQ's which is the Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort, or Carl is looking for a room mate to share cost at HQ's, get in touch with him here: http://kawi2strokes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=5774

Doesn't matter if your bike is ready or not....bring on down...it'll get running.... 8-)

Come to this once and you won't miss out on another........

Above last (OMG my light is off) :o

Welcome dude, this is a cool site, lots of incredible knowledge. As you're probably finding these bikes are very easy to work on with only a few pitfalls to know about.

Like when you put the cases back together - you knew about the kicker preload (not too much - not too little). Moo even has a video of it.

But mostly these are easy like the pick above - Looks like H1 Pete's carnage (again)

Wow what a welcome! I'm sure it's heavily ported, the motor work was done by PHR it's marked stage II plus which appears to be a fairly modified motor. The crank, pistons, cylinders, and heads are PHR the trans was in a package from MRE. I watched all the videos a few times and actually had them on when I installed everything. Trans seemed shimmed correctly shift forks looked nearly new a few minor scuffs on 1 very very minor. Hope I got it right!! All the parts are from a 72 which if I remember reading correctly was peaky anyway. The exhaust is brand new in the box Spec II. Electronics are all stock don't know if they work, the coils look brand new but have yellow wires they came from PHR also. Clutch is new plates and inner hub but old basket I need to inspect it. All in all allot of good parts so far.
Hope some day to be able to get to a meet like Deals Gap. I haven't been on a trip like that in years!

Thanks again
Joe

Wow what a package you have! All kinds of goodies.

Ron @ PHR did my H2 back in - what was it Moo 1999? Stage-2 plus as well - tooooooooooooooooooo much for average street. After suffering for 10 years I did a Moo reed kit and now it's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak.

Sorry Jim - posting the video again - but he'll see what his engine can run like - since they're the same top-end! And remember I'm at over 6,000ft.

You can skip the first minute - nothing special there - but after!~!~!~!~!~
