Jess has good stuff. I would at least recommend the 10+ springs. |

Can we assume that you are changing clutch springs because of slippage? If so, I used 3 Barnett springs with 2 stockers with a Sytec clutch release in my H1D and it was perfect |

I don't know for sure but I suspect he is selling Z1 springs for H2 "upgrade". That has been common practice for many years. In my opinion, a much better alternative than using Barnett springs on a street bike. |

I too have a Sytec release, now I can't imagine a triple without one. Since this gives me an easier pull, I have no problem running all five Barnett springs in my clutch. With this setup the clutch adjustment can be tricky, not much range to work with, but slippage is not a problem at all ... just my two cents woth ![]() |

It must come down to lots of crappy actuators out there exposed by heavier springs??? |

5 Barnett springs puts an excessive load on all the components. I go 3 heavy, 2 stock. |

Post subject: | Re: After market clutch springs? |
I could understand your point about being excessive if my clutch were tough to pull... ![]() 3 heavy and 2 weak doesn't translate into equal pressure to me so pick your poison! |

My H2 has 5 barnett springs standard acuator , and barnett plates ,syn motul 2 stroke g/box oil and I have never had a clutch as good on it the cable routing is very critical to get a light clutch ,It doesnt slip and will engage cold with no grabbing , and is lighter than ever before new parts make a lot of difference I think |
