Smells more like a browser setting, what are you using IE, FireFox, Chrome etc? I'm logged in 24x7 and never get bumped out or dropped - ever.

Most login problems are a result of the user's browser settings or use of various "cleaners" that clear browser cookies.

Cookies are required to access kawi2strokes.com . If the browser is not set to allow cookies or if a cleaner (some run automatically) is used that clears browser cookies, login will be more frequently required or not allowed at all.

I use both Firefox and Google Chrome browsers and have never experienced a login problem. EVERY time I receive an email about login problems, I can use that persons login and access the board. Since I cannot see the user password I must change it to allow me to access the account login.

Google Chrome is a good browser, simple to install, and will allow proper cookie settings by default. For those with login problems I would suggest trying that browser.

If you have a utility program that clears browser cookies, either disable it or expect to have to re-login.

It has been my experience that the same few people have login problems repeatedly and I NEVER have a problem accessing their accounts on my end with either browser that I use. Some have told me that they can use their laptop without problem but their desktop won't allow login. There is no doubt that the problem is on the user end.

I want everyone to be able to access the forum and will help any way I can but I cannot sit in front of a user's computer to fix browser settings or explore what cleaners the user may have installed.

I know this post may seem stern and a negative reaction but it not intended that way. The fact is that login problems are usually the fault of the user's browser settings and ALL of the complaints I receive fail to denote what browser is being used. It's like saying my bike won't run... what is the problem without even knowing what kind of bike is in question.

Barry, I'm reminded of my days in the Air Force when I worked in the Comm/Nav section repairing communication devices. The pilot would complain about a malfunction of equipment and it would be pulled for repair. We would then test & repair as required. The job ended with a repair tag noting the failure mechanism. Many times it was coded FBH... Failure Between Headset.

We had one in the Central Office "trouble leaving here OK". We were a major FDM microwave andd satellite hub and the receiving end point would call us because of hot or low levels but not many things had AGC working so what we got in - we sent out hence Trouble Leaving Here OK.

Greg, this comes up often, Dale might even have a knowledge base (KB) of answers already - BUT -

Depending on your version of Internet Explorer (if this is what you're using to surf the internet with) - use this:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196955

If you're using Mozilla FireFox use this:

http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Enabling%20and%20disabling%20cookies

If these don't work and you get really stuck - PM me and we'll talk on the phone, maybe do a webex so I can walk you through it all that way.
