Why do some back cut gears on the H1 and H2 :?:

Backcut gears will reduce missed shifts and relieve pressure on shift forks. End wear on shift "dogs" will also be reduced or eliminated.

And back cutting gears is probably cheaper and easier than finding good used gears or new ones not to mention shift forks and shafts.
