Hey guys, I'm Jared, nice to meet you. I'm putting together a H1 500. So far it's two junk bikes, to make one. I grew up with two strokes in northern Maine as a kid and I've always loved them. I always wanted a Kawie triple and I suppose at 37 I've finally gotten around to it. I suppose it's not too late to buy one complete instead of rebuilding one but for now my plan is to do it from scratch. I'll post some pics of my junk later. Glad to find the forum.

Good to meet you too Jared, welcome. We'll be waiting for the photos. Just for reference, you didn't wait so long... you're one of youngest guys in this group. In case you haven't found it yet: http://www.kawtriple.com/mraxl.

My family is from Presque Isle ME - my cousin Steve Beaulieu still lives there on the lake.

Presque isle! I went to high school in caribou! I left in 92 when I joined the navy, the rest is history.

Welcome Jared! I'm new here as well. Good luck with your build! Buying a complete bike is too easy, building one is a challenge and that's much more satisfying!
