I was looking at all my old posts from the other board for useful information that I'd left behind, here's one.

Last time I looked in to having the Speedo and Tach restored for my H1F I was told the internal inertia damper was not a rebuildable item, last week I came across a company that restores Japanese clocks ( along with others ) that will refill the damper with oil. No more bouncy needles, they also mention in an e-mail to me about replacing the metal bushings with phosphor bronze ones. I’m going to give them a try.

I wait with baited Breath! We had to stop doing guage repairs (including bouncy needles) when the Import / Export paperwork was too involved, too time consuming and too costly  I think the final nail was when someone posted a set of guages from the U.S. and covered their a$$ by insuring them for $1,000 -The mailman collected $160 in taxes before he would hand them over to me!
