Bigmo passed over last night after a long long battle with cancer and associated complications. When we met at the Gap in 2010, he had not ridden in (I think) 13 years. His daughters brought him to the Gap just to socialize with his triples brethren. Being there with all the guys and bikes really inspired him to try to ride again. And so he did! The toughest man I’ve ever known in terms of determination in the face of pain. Used to tell him he’s just too ornery to die. Jerry told many great stories of his younger days exploits. I don’t think he was the type to exaggerate, and watching him in action even with severe physical limitations left no doubt. He lived a very full life and I feel fortunate to have been his friend in latter years. May God rest his hard riding soul. |

I didn't know him very well, but he was a fun guy to talk to at Deals Gap. I wish the best for his wife and family. |
