Hi Guys,
I am looking for a mechanic/tuner in MD/PA area.
I have a 1972 Kawasaki 100 G5 that I would like to have tuned up / gone over. Carb cleaning etc. Bike is in very good condition and runs.
Can anyone recommend someone?
Thanks in advance!!

We're mainly a bunch of guys who work on our 2-strokes ourselves. A carb clean and tuneup is not difficult, so if you decide to tackle it yourself, we'll be glad to help you along the way.

Jeff here may be able to help or know someone who can if you really don't want to tackle it yourself (board name: Jeff)

Thanks Jim. My problem is I am having some trouble with my vision at this time and I can not see detail/little parts very well. I want to get this little bike wrapped up and gift it to my Grandson for his birthday. Getting old sucks!!
I am currently in MD but am willing to travel a couple of hours if need be.

Why not get your grandson to be a party to the tuneup? It would probably be a great experience for both of you. If he is going to be the owner he would benefit a great deal in the experience.
Just beware that tuneup kits for carbs do not use genuine Mikuni jets and using them can lead to problems... many "tuners" don't know that either.

Years ago I purchased some genuine Kawasaki jets ( pilot and main ) , new float bowl assembly , etc. so I do have new Kawasaki jets.

I'd be happy to help, but I'm quite a ways away from Maryland. I'm in the northeast corner of PA...3 - 3.5 hours at minimum to Hagarstown. Where in Maryland are you?

Bring it to Deals Gap in May and I’m sure someone could give it a good going over! The best of the best 2 stroke mechanics will be attending.

Now there's a really good idea! Get Uncle Chuck working on it and it'll be the best running G5 around.

Thanks Guys! I would love to bring it to Deals Gap but that would be very difficult for me this year.
Jeff, I am in Havre de Grace MD approx. 150 miles from you so 3 hours or so maybe a little less.
I am sure my son would be up for a road trip . I just have to feed him.
