I haven't had any major trips lately, but I've had a few really nice fall rides. Is anyone else enjoying one of the best times of the year for riding?

Sort of. Rode to work the other morning, temp dropped to 35. Never got over 43. Rode home in the evening and it was around 74 degrees.

I'm enjoying it now that my S3 is back on the road! The weather is getting PERFECT here and and the cool air has it running so strong my clutch is slipping! :o I have changed the gear oil and will again after running it for a week or so, it probably needs adjustment too. The most important thing is that I'm out there smokin' it up!

I haven’t ridden bikes much.
But for fun, I took the Cobra to the drag strip on a test and tune Sunday.
Wasn’t as much fun as I had hoped.
The track had been closed, but recently reopened.
It was so slick, it spun through the first three gears. Almost got sideways.
That was the first time in 20 years that I staged up on a tree.
I may be shopping for some slicks next spring ;)

So with the poor conditions, what quarter mile time did you get?

It’s an 1/8 mile track.
It spun like it was in water.
They had just “cleaned” the track and sprayed VHT.
I was first in line after the VHT was applied.
Was more like oil.
I couldn’t make a full pass.
I had to let off to keep from losing it.
