From Mike Long: RJ and I just returned from UAB visiting Samuel Stetler and Alison Franklin-stetler. It appears they have performed the last surgery (HOPEFULLY) for now. There is even talk of him coming home next week, instead of hanging around till Christmas time, as they talked about before. Seems like good news to me! There is still a long road ahead of rehab and therapy. Both are so thankful for the visits, cards, thoughts, prayers, and positive vibes that have come from this community and others. More as I know it.

From Mike Long:
Just got off the phone with Samuel Stetler. If the equipment (being delivered tomorrow morning) passes inspection, they are sending Sammy to his Sister's house tomorrow afternoon/evening. He has been moved a couple times in the last 48 hours and is now in what they call an "Exit Room" awaiting discharge paperwork to be completed. He wants to let everyone know he and Alison Franklin-stetler greatly appreciate all the care and love expressed over the last couple of weeks. Either myself, Alison, or someone will pass on the address he will be staying at for a while, but it is in/near Priceville.

Our friend Sam Stetler will be focused on getting out of UAB this week. He and Alison Franklin-stetler will dealing with medical decisions and the administrative ones.
Sammy is having to not put any load on any of the repaired injured limbs or appendages for a minimum of 3 more weeks. Surgery is likely behind him for now. Three weeks of near total dependency during recuperation is a reality. He enjoys visitors, but based on the energy level, the visitors' stay may be short. Things happen rather abruptly in the medical world , so coordinate with Alison Franklin-stetler before you plan a visit. They may not be at UAB any longer. All good news. Please keep doing whatever you have been doing to keep the healing energy going their way.

The above update was from 11/19. Here’s one a day later both copied/ pasted from another MC Forum.
