I'm very sorry to hear that, Buddy. I certainly wish Sammy a complete recovery, as quickly as possible!

Sammy's wife posted this yesterday morning...

Good morning, everyone. This is Alison, Sammy Stetler's wife. He wanted me to update you on his condition. As most of you know, he was on a demo ride for Kawasaki when he was hit head-on by an SUV and was Medflighted to UAB. Both of his legs are broken; one a compound fracture, both wrists fractured, his left foot is crushed, 4 ribs are broken, as well as his sternum. He was in surgery for about 3 hours yesterday, for what I am told will be the first of several surgeries to repair his broken legs. He is in good spirits and is kidding around with the nurses, which is a good sign! The P.A. estimated that he will be in the hospital for a couple of weeks. Please keep us in your prayers. I will keep you updated as more information becomes available. Thank you all for your love, concern, and especially, prayers!

Prayers for Sammy, the pain must be terrible.

Earlier this year I crashed my KH400, ran into the back of a pickup truck that stopped suddenly. I didn't break any bones, just banged up and scraped. I was sore for a couple of months.

For those not on Facebook, from RJ Reynolds:
Just off the phone with Sam Stetler !
He sounds strong and in good spirits. While we were talking a staff member came by for what sounded like a social call. Sammy has high praise for the staff and noted that they have had challenges that would have buckled lesser human beings.
Alison Franklin-stetler had an opportunity to have a few hours of rest @ home last night. The couple have another day of surgery on the docket for tomorrow. Get rest while you can kids.
Sammy thanks everyone for the thoughts, consideration and prayers. He asks that folks please keep doing what you are doing because it must be working. !
More as I get it.
