Broke this out from other post.

1980 & 1981 KH250 came with stock CDI, in Europe, and Front disc brake

It's not stock... it's a Boyer-Bransden aftermarket kit. It may work OK, but they fire all three plugs at the same time (wasted spark) and are known for fairly high battery drain.

I would have assumed they just used the ones from the 400's

Internet listings are not always correct. In the 13 years I manufactured CDI units for triples, I never once had anyone ask for a KH250 CDI unit. This leads me to agree with:
