Ignition systems are generally swappable among triples if you swap everything. If you post some good photos of the alternator and components, I can tell you what triple they were originally on.

Came across these 2 specification pages.

Both state 1981 KH250 came with CDI.

I would surmise that all of the USA 250's were points.
But as the 81 was only in UK, they got CDI's, and a front disc brake

I will get a picture of mine tonite.

Both of the sites referenced show an H1E (1974) as a '72 model and with CDI when it was points.... a White 1969 H1 as a 1970 model.... a Peacock grey as a 1969 model. Didn't both to check further.
The CDI on the KH250 you pictured is an aftermarket Boyer Bransen CDI.
You stated that 400 CDI was used for 250 but it is obvious you don't know what a KH400 CDI stator assembly looks like.
You implied that KH250 B5 was first to use disc brake when it was introduced years earlier.
The credibility of your sources is extremely questionable!!!

Yes..
I humbly admit I am a novice with the Kawasakis.
Better with the RD's.

So as to why I looked for knowledge from this forum.

On to searching the archives, & not the net.
