Should the cylinders on an H1 be bored out to new size before or after bead blasting?

My customers preference has historically been before.

Just wondering why bead blast after bore/hone?

I see no logic.

LAST operations are bore/hone

First, clean, bead blast, close pores in the aluminum with Brillo pad.

I second H2RTuner. I do not like to risk any particles left behind.

Clarification on the Brillo pad. All bead blasting opens the pores of the aluminum, allowing capture of dirt, grime, oils, grease, discoloring the aluminum. The Brillo pad closes those open pores, so adversive stuff doesn't stick, and the aluminum goes back to looking as new.
