I wonder if the auction winner will actually pay that price now. From the buyer's comments it seems like he's actually happy.

Especially surprising since it is a 1973.
1972 H2's are the hot bike, and they don't approach that price.

Just saw a beautiful 72 H2 on ebay bring 25,000 and change. That was the most I'd ever seen one bring. It was restored by a guy that used to be on the original Tomcat board. 40 grand is crazy.

I tried to find it under "completed items, but wasn't able to.

I think that prices like that are just CRAZY  , I love my H2 but its not worth that kind of money , these buyers must have a lot of money to waist and are just damaging classic bikes in my opinion , but is it showing how little value the Dollar has at the moment ???, going buy the house market over here in Aus the dollar has very little value , most houses over 1 million dollars !!!

Thanks Johnny! I remember him. I really do need to get my "parts H2" together and on the market!

I agree prices are crazy BUT if you ever thought about selling one, now is the time. Down side is you won't be able to replace it unless you're rich.
